Biden: Ideology is litmus test for judges

Senator Joe Biden in a closing answer in the Vice Presidential debate reported that his major change in philosophy after entering the Senate was to recognize that it was not enough that judges were wise, honest and learned, but should be selected based on the ideology. This illustrates a major point of difference in what the judicial system is intended for. To those on the side of Senator Biden, the purpose of judges is to enforce ideology in the decisions coming before the courts. Those who oppose this position believe that the purpose of the system of justice is to enforce the law as the people establish it through their elective representatives and to maintain the system of limited defined government powers and protected rights of the people. Based on his response, Senator Joe Biden is no friend of the constitution or the rights of a free people.
