Senate Bailout Vote: The Nays

The Senate voted moments ago on a bailout/tax cut extension bill 74 to 25. The measure moves to the House where a vote is expected on Friday. Both of Virginia's senators voted yes. It is interesting to see who voted no. 15 Republicans, 9 Democrats, 1 independent. Of the Democrats none represent east coast states except Nelson of Florida, the Republicans are more widely distributed. The only states with two no votes were Alabama, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Wyoming, all south or west. It is an interesting list (below the fold) nonetheless.
